Ways to get more likes on Instagram!09:00:00
I hope you are all well! What have you been up to lately?
As most of you should know if you are regular readers and from the frequent Insta Month posts and the seldom shoutouts to other accounts that I have a slight addiction. It's not like I have to upload a photo every day or anything, but I would often be found scrolling through my feed during my nine o clock lectures rather than paying attention!
I regular research ways to allow myself to have high engagement levels on my profile. Although, I may not always abide by every single one of the ways to increase engagement, I do use the ones that I feel work the best for me so I can achieve optimum likes on my pictures. Whether you're a blogger or not, nobody likes getting under 11 likes on their photos so hopefully these tips will work for you as they have done for me.
Ways to get more likes on Instagram!
Tagging -This is something I never used to do until I read one of these kinds of blog posts saying that this is quite an effective method of getting seen. I swear to god it works wonders. Anytime I take pictures of a product i.e a Lush bath bomb, I will tag Lush Pages in the photos and generally I will get a like or so. I once took a picture of a flat lay of makeup and Benefit gave me a like. If you have taken a picture of yourself, you could tag the brands of your clothes. If people go through the pictures that H&M are tagged in and you tagged your H&M sweater they will be able to see it!
Uploading frequently -I don't know why, but if I have skipped a few days of uploading I don't seem to get tonnes of likes. The more often you upload the more likes you seem to get. I suppose if you upload regularly people will be checking your account and expect new content. I don't think you need to upload daily but uploading every other day is pretty regular. If you begin to become a bit irregular in your uploading, people begin to unfollow you.
Having a theme - Do I have a theme? No, I am a very indecisive person so I upload what I think looks good. I have noticed that accounts that have a theme do tend to get a lot of attention so it definitely wouldn't do any harm to have a theme if you wanted to. Generally, people with similar interests will follow you if you've a very visible theme.
Hashtags - The use of the hashtag has been a debate with me before. Am I coming across annoying if I include 20 hashtags with my photos? But if I am completely frank, it is probably the way people find my photos. Some pretty useful ones are #lbloggers #bbloggers #fbloggers #instagrammers #instadaily #instagood etc. I have an app called Tags for likes which give you suggestions for hashtags relating to certain themes be it fitness, health or fashion!
Engaging with others - Engagement is one of the most effective ways to make likes on your photographs soar. Try to comment on a few pictures and make people smile. If people like my photos, I click on their profiles, like a few photos if I actually like them and I occassionally follow some with content I enjoy!
Do you think any of these methods will help you get more likes on Instagram? What other methods have you used?
