The life of an Erasmus student #4 Other people's experiences 3: Tracie in France

Hey Guys!

I hope you are all well. For today's addition of the experiences abroad I am sharing Tracie's experience in Paris. She is another blogger who is available on if you would like to check her stuff out!

What is your name?
Tracie Marie Pfrogner of

What age are you?

Where did you go on your exchange abroad?
 Paris, France

Why did you choose that place?
It’s been my dream ever since I was a little girl to visit Paris.

What did you study abroad?
Fashion Merchandising

From your experience abroad, what do you feel is an aspect of the whole experience that benefitted you the most?
As a fashion major, part of my study abroad program was getting to work backstage on several fashion shows for Paris Fashion Week. Getting to see the haute couture collections up close and get a backstage look at what goes into a fashion show was amazing.

What is your biggest regret about the exchange (If any at all)?
There was no air conditioning anywhere in Paris. And it was around 90 degrees every day!

What advice would you give to those who are going or planning on going to study abroad?
If you are going to a country that speaks a language that is different from your own, try to learn a little bit of it! The best way to show respect to locals and to their culture is to at least attempt at speaking their native language.
