My typical Morning Routine!

I wanted to incorporate a bit more lifestyle posts to my blog lately. I feel that I have been doing that throughout August. It is kind of my key theme for my blog this month. I haven't been feeling as inspired fashion or beauty wise, so you'll definitely notice that on the blog. Today I am adding to my lifestyle posts and I am posting my morning routine.

Okay, this may be a bit of a cliché post, but I really wanted to share it with you guys. I did try making a vlog of my day but it didn't work out, so my whole morning is essentially displayed in picture form!




I usually wake up at about 10:00 am each morning. I normally spend a good while just chilling in my bed, scrolling through my various social media such as twitter, facebook and instagram. I have been obsessed with instagram lately, I love liking pictures and sharing some of my own on it. Leave your instagram details in the comments so I can check it out!

After awhile, I decide to head down as I get a bit peckish. A lot of the time I am greeted by this cutie! She meows with me because she wants to be fed, so I get some food and pop it in her bowl!




I like to do a bit of a run on the treadmill, but I feel like I shouldn't do it on an empty stomach! I like to have a bit of a boost of protein before I get up to do any running. So in this milk shake I have milk, yoghurt, peanut butter, almonds, walnuts, banana and a bit of cinnamon, You could add some protein powder if you wanted to also! It is absolutely delicious. I usually wait thirty minutes between having this and doing my run because I feel I'll get cramps quickly!





While I am waiting to do my run, I run a few errands. I go through my daily skin care routine, brush my teeth and make my bed! For skin care, I feel like I have gotten into a very good cleanse, tone and moisturise routine using the simple cleanser, toner and moisturiser of course. I really like these products as they are gentle on the skin and they have no harsh odours or chemicals in them. I feel that this routine goes a lot quicker than you may think so there is really no excuse to be lazy with your skin routine. I use colgate or whatever toothpaste is lying around, I feel like there is no difference in what tooth paste I use!




After those chores are over and done with I pick my workout gear.I got these two items from Penneys/Primark. I feel that they have really good stuff and it doesn't cost a bomb. I also spray a bit of deodorant on my underarms before and after running, this is the dove one. I just picked it up when I needed it! Again, I have no deodrant I am in love with. I feel like there are not many differences between the various products in the market.




So here is the treadmill we own. I try to run anywhere between 20 and 30 minutes on it. I have gotten quite lazy with my whole running routine, but I am aiming to be able to run 5k in 30 mins by the end of the year!!!


Afterwards, I run a bath. If I have a lush bath bomb or something I use it. I didn't have anything today so I used this foaming bath product from Rí na Mara which is an Irish Seaweed cosmetics brand. The seaweed extracts not only moisturise the skin and condition the skin, but they are good for relaxing the muscles, perfect after an intense workout. My mum got this at one of the stalls at the Garden show Bloom!


I didn't wash my hair that day, but I thought I would show you the shampoo and conditioner I am currently using. These are the Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. I find they are very good and really recommend them!


I normally have a mid-morning snack after my workout so that day I had some gluten free soda bread and avocado! Delicious!


I also choose an outfit, for today I wanted to wear something casual and comfortable as I had no plans apart from blogging!

Before I get on with the rest of my day I apply some make up. So here is my little set up. I took a selfie with my make up on. I'll just list any products I am wearing below!

  3. Loved this post! Morning or evening routines are my favourite videos to watch, but I have never seen such post haha :)
    My morning also doesn't start with coffee, it's Instagram. Sometimes I get so carried away that I get up one hour later.... Oops.

  7. Ahh I wish I had a treadmill! My morning routine always starts with a brew, and scrolling through instagram too haha! Then I get up, shower, get dressed and put my contact lenses in, eat breakfast, pack up my bag and make sure I have everything, usually including a packed lunch, and leave the house for work at 8am! Weekends I just stay in bed and drink too much tea :P
