Today I thought I would share what I have been eating for breakfast lately with you all. Some of you may be aware that I am a complete smoothie enthusiast. I've had various posts up on this blog before, with my own smoothie recipes and how to construct your own. :)
I have changed my obsession with smoothie drinking to making smoothie bowls with multiple toppings. The great thing about smoothie bowls is that they can be fun to make and decorate. You can add a whole bunch of nutrients to them with your very own toppings. Nuts, seeds, additional fruit, coconut shavings or anything you'd prefer would work great in this bowl.
It's just as easy to make as a smoothie. You simply blend up a smoothie (preferably a thicker smoothie so be sure to add yoghurt, avocados or frozen fruit which add thickness to your drink!) and then add the toppings. It is more satiating and filling because your whole meal isn't liquid. I have been eating this after my morning work out and it has made me feel so great!
