Naked Vs Naked 3!

07:00:00

Recently, I have become more enthusiastic when it comes to beauty products than I used to be. I am more excited about products and have a larger desire to try things out rather than to just buy make up as essentials for whenever I need to look nice. It's becoming another little hobby of mine, alongside blogging of course!

I may be extremely late on the bandwagon, but I have taken a liking to the Urban Decay Naked palettes. They are just classic palettes which would work perfectly in most people's make up collection. I was lucky enough to get the Naked 2 ( a palette in which I judged to be the best starter out of the three) for Christmas which I have been enjoying. I also got a voucher for 250 euro. This means that I have the potential to buy yet another palette. Although I do have intentions of buying all three of the palettes (although it probably isn't necessary) in the foreseeable future; I thought that instead of looking up review after review on Youtube and blogs (which may be hard to find considering that the Naked palettes aren't the newest); it might be a great idea to ask the wonderful beauty blogger communities which palette I should consider next.

The Naked palette is the original palette of the trio. This is the product in which the whole hype derived. People seem to think it is quite similar to the Naked 2 palette. Although, both palettes have the shade half-baked, I feel that there are a few more pink shades and a lovely blue shade in this as opposed to the variety of brown shades in the second palette. I feel that the 2nd palette is full of cooler more winter appropriate colors where as the first palette has warmer colors which might be a bit more up my alley for the moment. This product, from what I have heard comes with a pigment which could definitely come in handy for my eye make up routine as I do not currently have a pigment. I think the only issue with this product is that the material which is felt is more flimsy and precarious. I can't tell you how many incidents of broken Naked palette mirrors I have heard of. I'd definitely have to take more care with this one!

The Naked 3 palette seems to branch out in a wider variety of pink colors. The black color "Black Heart" even has a pink/purple shimmer which many people seem to adore. Although the colors are beautiful and definitely appropriate for the spring and summer seasons that await, I do feel that the colors are very similar toward each other, hence limiting the looks you can make.

I would really appreciate it if you guys had any feedback on which palette I should consider. In conclusion, I feel that the Naked is a very versatile package but people have said it is quite similar to the naked 2. The Naked 3 on the other hand is limiting but perfect for the seasons coming. I would also have my Naked 2 palette so I wouldn't be limited to the looks I could try this year. I'd love to know what you guys think would be the best one to add to the naked 2.

Thank you guys for reading and as always I will see you later. :)

  10. I have the Naked 3 palette and I agree, the colors are kind of limiting. I also don't think they would be flattering on everyone. Like, I have red hair and really pale skin so it's a great palette for everyday for me, but I feel like with any other coloring it would look like you had pink eye or something!

  13. I think it depends on the looks you want to create, Ellen. I, personally would go for the naked one, naked #3 has far too many similar shades, hope that makes any sense to you.
